An Overview of Pelvic Heart Integration

What is Pelvic Heart Integration?

Some answers from Deborah Taj Anapol, Ph.D.

PHI is a synthesis of powerful tools and systems woven together in a synergistic way. The medium is the message. That is, we are simultaneously working on many different levels in an integrated way as we integrate the different parts of ourselves. We transcend the dualities of male and female, yin and yang, love and sex, upper and lower chakras, individual and tribe using a powerful combination of psychodrama, Reichian breath and bodywork, Eriksonian hypnosis, energy work, pelvic release, body reading, genital massage, ritual, and power analysis.

PHI is a wholistic, comprehensive technology for transformation which emphasizes the power of sexual energy and the ways in which our culture frequently distorts the natural flow of orgasmic energy. As a result, it provides a valuable framework for sexual healing – both in the sense of unraveling sexual dysfunction and in the sense of restoring trust and harmony between men and women.

PHI uses processes and maps which are culturally familiar to modern Western people to address the central questions of Life: Who are we? How can we be more present to Reality? How can we infuse our physical bodies with spiritual energy? How can we heal (make whole) our separation from the Divine? How can we transcend dualistic thinking? How can live our earthly lives in peace, happiness, and harmony with others?

Pelvic Heart Integration engages us directly (not just intellectually) in:

  1. Harmoniously uniting masculine and feminine energy currents
  2. Discovering peace, wholeness, core light, orgasmic bliss and love within us rather endlessly seeking satisfaction outside ourselves
  3. Freeing the flow of life force energy in the physical body, energy body, emotional body and back thru the generations
  4. Breathing!

Pelvic Heart Integration and Sexual Shamanism. An Interview with Deborah Anapol

Pelvic Heart Integration (PHI) offers a comprehensive system for understanding and harmonizing the inner and outer worlds of the whole person. Its scope increases our awareness of and gives us tools for healing everything from our ancestral lineage and the developmental issues of childhood to the physical, emotional, interpersonal and sexual issues confronting us as evolving men and women. PHI groups provide experiential and informational windows into this work suitable for both experienced practitioners and a general public who want to address their own unresolved issues around sexuality and intimate relationship and to increase their personal authenticity and inner harmony.

This unique and powerful synthesis of neo-Reichian breathwork, body work, energy work, psychodrama, trauma work, body reading and Tantra was developed by pioneering bodyworker Dr. Jack Painter as a way for people to experience how their bodies hold both masculine and feminine energy and discover how to harmonize both sides. By focusing our attention on the dynamics of the core duality of male and female within our own bodies, we give ourselves leverage to find unity much more effectively than when we blame others and try to change them. We also discover how to release the characteristic breathing patterns, thoughts, emotions, and body amour that block the free flow of our life force and inhibit our capacity for sensual pleasure and orgasmic release.

Pelvic Heart Integration Activations

The PHI offerings are now divided into Activation Groups open to anyone who wishes to make use of this powerful technology for shifting your conditioning and authenticity around gender, sexuality and relationship, and Teacher Training for practitioners who want to expand their professional skills in either group facilitation or one-on-one sexual healing to include PHI. It is recommended that all participants start with the Level 1 Activation (which no longer includes pelvic bodywork) and then apply for entry into the Teacher Training if they wish to become practitioners or trainers. If the timing, location, and sequencing does not support entry into the Teacher Training groups in this way, there are several alternatives to allow entry directly into the Teacher Training. Email us for further information.

The Level 1 Activation (and Module 1 Teacher Training) looks at masculine and feminine as an expression of the breath. The masculine and feminine energies in the body also have a directional flow and a cycle of movement. When the masculine and the feminine forces merge and come into contact, whether within one’s own body or with another, sexual excitement results, eventually culminating in full body orgasm if the natural flow is unimpeded. But this inner flow, as well as the circuit formed when two individuals come together, loses its integrity when a person’s internal connection between heart and the genitals is severed. We begin to reclaim our wholeness by discovering how this natural flow was cut off and finding the support to release our habitual body armour and emotional patterning. By working simultaneously on many levels, we increase our ability to free ourselves and hence, each other.

PELVIC HEART INTEGRATION TEACHER TRAINING

Nov 2013 PHI

Sebastopol, California PHI Level 1, November 2013

Pelvic Heart Integration (PHI) is  the most powerful integrated sexual healing SYSTEM – I’ve ever come across and I’ve been working in this field for over thirty years. If you are committed to being or becoming a first rate professional working with issues involving sexuality and harmonizing masculine and feminine energies within and without, you will want to see for yourself why I’m making such a strong statement!

The old Level 1 Training (offered prior to December 2014) is now called The Immersion. It stands on its own as a deep and moving experience for anyone dedicated to exploring their potential for full embodiment and intimate relating, as well as practitioners who want to expand their horizons. However, the depth, breadth, and sophistication of the PHI work requires more than five days to take it all in. It took me at least two years of study and working with Jack Painter to fully grasp it, and I was already a practicing professional with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. For this reason, we have now expanded the Immersion into 3 separate Activation Levels which can be taken sequentially.
