The PHI offerings will be now divided into Activation Groups open to anyone who wishes to make use of this powerful technology for shifting your conditioning and authenticity around gender, sexuality and relationship, and Teacher Training for practitioners who want to expand their professional skills in either group facilitation or one-on-one sexual healing to include PHI. It is recommended that all future participants start with Activations L1-L3 and then apply for entry into the Teacher Training if they wish to become practitioners or trainers.

After satisfactorily completing Module 1 and/or Module 2 Teacher Trainings, participants are encouraged to organize and lead three day PHI Activation groups in their local areas and will receive support in producing and marketing as well as teaching. One or two successful groups can easily cover the cost of your training. 

Note that the cost for the Yearlong Training includes all four Modules and any other PHI groups offered in person or over the Internet throughout the year. You will pay only your meal, accommodation, and travel costs.

In addition to covering the cost of all four training modules and as many other PHI groups as you choose to attend as an assistant, the Yearlong Training includes 2 monthly conference calls (one case conference and one Q&A), supervised practice sessions, access to our full video and audio library which includes 40 hours of footage of Jack Painter teaching and doing sessions, one individual mentoring session with me, and additional mentoring sessions if desired at a reduced rate.

If you prefer to approach the Trainings one module at a time, that option is available on a space available basis, but you must take the modules in order. That is, you have to take Module 1 before 2, and 2 before 3 and so on.  Note that you will get less and pay more if you do it piecemeal, but for those reluctant to commit, this is another way to do it.

Some of these modules will include guest faculty who will offer their expertise as part of the training but Dr Anapol will be involved in all four modules.

Overview of Teacher Training

The training consists of 4 week-long  face-to-face training modules divided between at least two continents. You can attend 2 of the 4 modules remotely via video recordings if you choose.  In addition to these face to face training groups, the practitioners training includes monthly group coaching calls, Q and A calls and case conferences, online students forum, downloads/recordings of all webinars and teleseminars, guest teachers, additional video, audio, and print materials (including manuals for teaching Activation Levels 1, 2, and 3) for download, reading list, and listing on the practitioners/teachers website upon successful completion of the course. Students are encouraged to begin co-leading the series of PHI Activation groups with a mentor in their home territories on completion of each module. Upon successful completion of the program, students will be able to lead all three Activation groups as well as offering individual PHI sessions, but are encouraged to lead and practice in tandem with another practitioner. When possible, Dr. Anapol or a recent graduate will be present at your initiation Activation groups to anchor and give feedback. A Certificate of Completion will be given upon satisfactory completion of the Training.

Intention

The intention of the Pelvic Heart Integration (PHI) Practitioner Training is to support you in becoming the best practitioner of the healing arts that you can be through the mastery of this powerful System of Whole Person, Hands On Healing developed by Dr. Jack Painter. After Jack developed his world famous integrated system for general bodywork, called Postural Integration, he realized that there is so much sexual energy locked in the pelvis that it deserves more focus to liberate this potent life force.

Unlike most transformational modalities which involve either bodywork or mental/emotional work, PHI approaches body, mind, and spirit in an integrated way. It addresses the physical, sexual, and energetic obstacles to health and harmony along with the psychological and the spiritual. While this approach demands a lot of the practitioner, it also delivers a lot to the client! Those who lack previous relevant background in the healing arts may need additional coursework and those who wish to become trainers of other practitioners may need a second year to qualify. Practitioners are encouraged to team up with other practitioners whose skills and experience complement their own and the training offers the opportunity to form this type of partnership. For example, someone with a strong bodywork background may wish to work with someone with a strong psychotherapy background so that they can support and learn from each other. When this training is completed satisfactorily participants will be qualified to offer individual sessions and/or lead group sessions, and will be listed as practitioners on the new Pelvic Heart Integration website.

Pelvic Heart Integration can take the form of a GROUP modality, or a series of INDIVIDUAL sessions. Traditionally it has been offered as five consecutive days for the Level 1A, 1B and 1C training, or as a series of 10 hours of individual sessions, usually divided into 90 minute or 2 hour blocks. Practitioners are encouraged to work in tandem with a partner whether offering sessions to groups, individuals, or couples, but this is not required. At this time, I am encouraging graduates to considering offering PHI to groups of 12 people, either in a series of three day weekend workshops, or when feasible, as a weeklong workshop combining 2 of the 3 Levels. Group work is not appropriate for everyone but it has many advantages over individual work and group facilitation skills will be taught as part as the PHI Year Long Training. Note that these Introductory PHI groups will be geared for the general public, as distinct from the accelerated groups I have previously offered for professionals and those with extensive prior work in sexuality.

About 80% of both the individual session work and the group work involves synergizing the modalities of breathwork, movement, Gestalt, psychodrama, energy work, and general bodywork. Genital touch and internal work are not introduced until late in the process. In the case of group work, this would not be until the 3rd activation level. In the case of individual sessions, this would be after six or eight hours. What this means for practitioners who are reluctant to challenge professional restrictions on genital touch, is that they still have a wide latitude to practice PHI and could consider the use of “surrogate” practitioners for the genital and internal work. What this means for practitioners who do not have professional licensing considerations, is that they may have additional session opportunities under the supervision of licensed professionals.

The training program has been planned to allow a student to complete the program in one year but you are encouraged to go at your own pace and can extend the time you need to learn the material and complete the assignments into a second year if you choose.

Training Modules

All four Training Modules can be attended either in person or remotely via video recording, but you must attend at least 1 of the Modules in person. You will need a personal computer (laptop is fine), a gmail address and Google+ account and internet access to participate in the trainings remotely. All sessions will be recorded so that you can listen at your leisure or review them as often as you wish. We will cover the following topics in the four Training Modules. Some topics will be taught by Dr. Anapol and some by guest teachers who are specialists in these areas, but Dr. Anapol will teach some part of each Module and be present throughout. Participants who have no prior exposure to some of these areas and desire a deeper course of instruction are encouraged to pursue additional coursework or mentorship with Dr. Anapol or with the relevant guest teachers who have been carefully selected for their expertise and their understanding of PHI.

Module 1 focuses on supporting a deeper understanding of the Breath Cycle and the way it relates to Reichian based character and bodytypes, gender roles, family influences, and developmental stages. More specifically it includes:

        7. Stages 5-9 (which are not addressed in the 5 day Immersion course)
      3. Parental Triangle – Our Model for God and Goddess

Module 2 focuses on working with blocks in all four phases of the Breath Cycle, identifying related sexual and relational issues, and understanding and transforming the ancestral roots of these dysfunctions. We will also address the fundamentals of somatic psychotherapy: how to identify core issues and choosing a focus for a session using body reading and/or Gestalt dialogue. Finally we will look at essential parameters such as pacing, boundaries, ethics, transference, countertransference, dealing with resistance, group facilitation skills, and using the tools of PHI to work with interpersonal issues within the group. It includes:

Mentoring, Coaching, and Peer Support

Once a month online “case conferences” where participants can share their experiences giving and receiving sessions and receive feedback and coaching from Dr. Anapol and other experienced practitioners are included in the training. There will also be a monthly Q&A call where participants can get their questions about any aspect of Pelvic Heart Integration answered. These monthly calls are group sessions, open to all participants. Each participant will also be able to schedule one individual mentoring call or face to face session each quarter as part of the training. Additional individual calls or private sessions will incur additional fees.

Resources

All participants will have access to an online library of written materials, audio, and video including: Manuals for teaching Activation Levels 1, 2, and 3 which include a description of all processes and exercises, charts and diagrams, marketing materials and suggestions, audio and video of Jack and Deborah doing sessions and explaining the breath cycle, reading list, and film list.

Additional Learning Opportunities and Requirements

In order to complete this program, each participant will need to give ten pelvic heart integration sessions and to receive ten pelvic heart integration sessions. These sessions can be exchanges with other students, part of the face to face training sessions, paid sessions, or unpaid sessions. Participants must either videotape or provide a written report on half of these sessions (five they received and five they gave) along with their analysis (written or taped) of the sessions. If two practitioners give a joint session (which is encouraged), both may submit their own reports for the same session, and if the receiver is also a trainee, all three may report on the same session. Written permissions for video or audio taping must be obtained prior to recording. It may also be possible to arrange a “live” video session, or an all live session, in which supervision occurs in real time, in person or via the internet.

Alternatively, a student can facilitate (or co-facilitate) 2 three or five day or 5 two day Pelvic Heart Integration groups in place of giving the individual sessions, but they must still receive ten sessions themselves. A written report on this experience must be submitted.

All students must assist for at least one PHI Activation co-led by Dr. Anapol, or her appointed agent and organize and co-lead at least one PHI Activation where Dr. Anapol or her agent is present. You are encouraged to assist at as many PHI Activations as you can during your training and will pay only meals and lodging to attend. If you organize and co-lead the PHI Activation, you will receive payment of 30% of the net profit for the event.

Optional Academic Credit

Academic credit toward an MA or PhD can be earned for an additional fee through the International University of Professional Studies. Inquire if you are interested in this option.

Refund Policy:There will be no refunds given once the course has begun EXCEPT that you have the option to discontinue your enrollment within 1 month of completing Training Module 1 if you decide not to participate in the rest of the training.
