Deborah Anapol, Ph.D. Director and Conductor. Deborah received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle, WA in 1981. During her training she was fortunate to have exposure to then leading edge modalities such as  psychodrama, family systems therapy, and Masters and Johnson style sex therapy. At the same time, she undertook a parallel path of study encompassing Gurdjieff work, Sufism, and Tantra. In the mid-90’s she was introduced to Dr. Jack Painter and worked with him for the next seven years. Deborah has been working with groups and individuals exploring sexual healing, conscious relating, and embodied spirituality for over 30 years. Deborah is the author of several books, including The Seven Natural Laws of Love and is based in the San Francisco Bay Area when not traveling the world.

Deborah is supported in the Teacher Training by the following people who contribute their expertise in specialized areas within the context of Pelvic Heart Integration.

Meredith Sands Keator, Taoist and Reichian Energy Systems, Bodywork, and the Sacred Geometry of the Body. Meredith is an honors graduate in both Shiatsu and Acupuncture from the Shiatsu School of Canada, one of only two North American schools that offer the most comprehensive training available outside of Japan. She has been a teacher of Eastern medical Theory, Shiatsu and western sciences at various schools in both Canada and the U.S., and has created and taught many programs in California and Canada. For almost twenty years she has been an instructor of Somatic Stretch, a deep conditioning and realignment program created by her mother, Lilian Jarvis, who was a principal dancer with the National Ballet of Canada.

Meredith teaches accelerated healing skills to Somatic therapists to increase their treatment results through direct access to the nervous system. A pioneer in the field of Eastern and Western integrative sciences, she has developed Neural Resonance Therapy®, an understanding of the geometry of healing in viewing the body both as Frequency and Matter. Working within the company of physicists, cosmologists, mathematicians and geometricians, Meredith has put forth an understanding of geometric precision in the body that mirrors the information physicists are witnessing in the cosmos. Her research in this field since 1996 has taken her to many parts of the globe, and she teaches internationally, continually meeting remarkable healers, practitioners and teachers from around the world.Sharing their wealth of knowledge and creating a stronger collective within the field in which to raise the awareness around the essential role of the Somatic Arts as an essential component to the medical mainstream, is her ongoing goal. JoAnna Carroll MA in Art and Healing, Licensed Bodywork Therapist

JoAnna began her bodywork practice in 1992 after realizing that the heart of her healing process had been dependent on massage and other body focused therapies. Receiving safe therapeutic touch reversed years of disassociation caused by childhood trauma. Because of this experience she has focused her energy on exploring the link between acute/chronic pain patterns and emotional, mental well-being. This exploration has resulted in a style of structural balancing that uses non-painful, deep-tissue techniques to elicit a greater sense of relaxation and body awareness. It consists of slow, steady pressure applied to the muscle while relying on simple feedback from the client to direct the depth of pressure. This feedback creates a meditative and safe experience for the client to experience healthy boundaries and a greater release of tension.

After attending numerous Jack Painter PHI groups which led to a deeper level of her own sexual healing, JoAnna understood that the abdomen/belly was a vital link for sexual healing and often a forgotten or neglected area in many healing practices. She now includes belly work in her sessions, seeing it as an intrinsic part of well- being.

Leanora, Trauma Release and Internal Awareness. Leanora has created a body of work called Embody Truth. She is a planetary citizen currently based in Australia.  The work is a culmination of her own healing journey coupled with a vast amount of investigation in the field of healing, consciousness, and spirituality.  Her approach to healing trauma uses the “felt sense” as signified in Eugene Gendlin’s Focusing process. Leanora systematically instructs in how to bypass the mind, and engage directly with the somatic experience which includes the emotional content and the energetic imprints which hold the unresolved traumatic information.  By clearing the unresolved past we re-member the truth of who we are. Harold Kornylak, D.O. Anatomy & Physiology, pelvic bodywork. Harold attended many of Jack Painter’s PHI groups over a 10 year period starting in the late 90’s, and toward the end of this time video taped many hours of workshop footage.  Selected sequences are available for review by those enrolled in the Teacher Training.
